Amount remainder threshold for 100% under sell

When a user selects to sell 100% of an instrument on an account, the system converts the sell to an amount sell if the setting on the instrument “Instrument deals in amounts” is TRUE.

If less units for the amount is confirm on the dealer instruction, there will be units remaining on the account after completion of the 100% sell.

On a product there is a setting ‘Amount remainder threshold for 100% under sell’.

This is an amount tolerance e.g R 200. If the remainder of units on a 100% withdrawal is valued less than R 200 using the transaction price when confirming the dealer instructions, the remaining units will be exchanged with the working portfolio.

In other words, exchange units and cash if the value of the units remaining on the Investor is less or equal to the threshold set on the product. Units go to the working portfolio and cash to the investor account.
