FINWorks started in 2005, believing that the financial sector was complicated enough without systems adding to the complexity. We aim to improve systems design and deliver more value for money.


The vision was to improve the competitive position of ambitious players by making high-level systems available, traditionally only affordable to the multi-nationals. With this, increased efficiencies, the agility to adapt to changing needs or emerging opportunities and importantly, the ability for smaller players to deliver a first -class client experience.

The FINWorks team is geared to deliver the promise to our clients. We have experienced project managers, professional software developers, trainers and mentors. They are well versed in the development of object oriented systems and have extensive knowledge of the investment management domain.

Otto gained early IT experience between 1992 and 1996
before joining Momentum Wealth (MAS) in 1996. He moved
to Equinox.co.za (Pty) Ltd in 2000 as Director.

In 2003, Otto joined Momentum International (Rand Merchant
Bank International) and was based in London UK as Chief
Technology Officer. In 2005 he started his own business
ventures and was a founding member of FINWorks in 2005.

Otto obtained his BSC Computer Science (1992) and HONS
(1995) at the University of Pretoria.

Walther worked for Momentum Administration Services from
1996 to 2000 before joining Equinox.co.za (Pty) Ltd as Director.

In 2002 he started his own business ventures and was a
founding member of FINWorks in 2005.

Walther obtained his BCOM Informatics (1995) and MBA (2003)
at the University of Pretoria.
