Distributions – Add and Allocate

1. From the Instrument view, select the “Supplier Accounts” button.

2. Select the relevant account for which a distribution must be added.

3. Select “More Actions” and “Distributions”

4. Select the “Add Distribution” button.

5. Enter the Declaration- and Reinvestment dates. Allocate the distribution split amounts for each relevant category and enter the correct total amount for the distribution.

Also see reducing a withholding tax rate if applicable.

To add Split categories, see Add Distribution Split Categories

6.  Select whether the distributed units should be reinvested or distributed as cash to the investor accounts. Specify the number of units / cash amount received from the Dealer for this distribution.

Please note:  There must be a price for this instrument on the reinvestment date.

To add Withholdings tax percentage, see Setup Withholdings tax percentage

7. If the distribution is a ‘Cash’ distribution, the cash received from the Dealer will have to be matched against the bank statement, before being allocated.

8. Allocate the distribution. See Money Market distributions for instances where there is a difference between the “Distribution amount” and the “Estimated distribution amount”

(Alternatively, the distributions can also be allocated when selected from the list of distributions that were created, but not yet allocated:  Bulk Processes >> Distributions).

9. The Distribution transactions will now reflect on each investor’s account for the respective instrument.
