To edit a notification message, go to the relevant notification message from the main menu (1) System -> Notification Message
NOTES:
The notification message can be overridden on product level
Sensitive data can be masked using the settings in the template, see Masking data in the notification template

Select the relevant message, for the example we will be using “Approved Change Request”, client Email template.

Change the text as required and substitute variables with the required tag, for instance {entityFullName}, if you want the entities Full Name to be displayed.

Below the Template is a list of substitute that can be used: “Substitute the following:”

The information displayed in the communication received by the intended recipient can also be selectively masked. To mask, or partially mask, information displayed in the final communication, add ‘mask’ and an integer within the substitute tag.
Example:
To mask the first 5 characters of this substitute tag:{entityFullName}, update the tag in the notification template to {mask 5 entityFullName}
NOTE: Substitute tags which return multiple values can be masked by using the same steps as above, however, specific fields that are returned via the substitute tag will be masked, and not all fields. Please contact support if you require further fields to be masked. Example: {listOfMembers} returns Account Number, Last Name, First Name and Identity Number values, the masking functionality will be applied to the Account Number and Identity Number only.
After saving, the changes can be tested.

Navigate to Product -> More Actions -> Notification messages.
If “Use notification messages on configuration” is checked, the notification messages defined under the System menu will be used across all products.
Else, you can configure the individual template to be used for a specific product, by selecting “USE THIS TEMPLATE”. In this case, the system configuration level notification message will be overwritten by this product level notification message.
