Internal switch into Portfolio instrument

Client cash is usually exchanged for units in a Portfolio instrument. The portfolio instrument (composed investor account) then invest in different instruments, for instance Bitcoin.

Sometimes the client has his own Bitcoin units and transfers it to the FSP to be invest into the Portfolio Instrument.

This can be done with an internal switch from the Client account to the portfolio instrument. The client’s Bitcoin units are moved from the client account into the portfolio instrument and in exchange the client receives units in the portfolio instrument.

Go to the switch instruction on the client account and select ‘Create internal switches for portfolio instruments’. 

An internal switch instruction will be created

NOTE: This functionality is only applicable to switched INTO a portfolio instrument.
