Override Interest

If applying interest has been activated on a product, the Interest tick box will appear on Investor Accounts that invest in the Product. Interest for investor accounts can be un-ticked/deactivated here.

If ‘Apply interest on instructions’ have been selected (ticked) on the investor account, the Interest tick box will appear on Instructions on the investor account. If the box is left un-ticked, interest will be applied as per the Interest Rate Set as selected on the product.

By ticking the Interest box, the interest on the instruction can be overridden to zero or another amount. Withholdings Tax on Interest will be applied, as setup, if there is an interest amount on the instruction.
