Release – 24 July 2015

The following enhancements and new functionality are included in this week’s release:

Invest into risk instrument
This new functionality is to cater for the ability to Invest into Risk Instruments or non-investment instrument in the investment instruction, by specifying that some of the cash is going to another entity like for example an insurance company, funeral policy or loan payments.

First, you would need to create a company and Instrument Provider, which is the entity to which the amounts received for the non-investment instrument, should be paid to.
Please note that all existing Fund Managers on the system have been migrated to Instrument Providers.

If a company entity does not yet exist for the Instrument Provider to be linked to, please see Adding & Editing a Company.

To create the Instrument Provider:
Select Instruments > Instrument Provider > Add > search for the existing company > Enter the name of the Instrument Provider > Save

Then, an Insurance Instrument can be added.
Select Instruments > Insurance Instrument > Add > Enter the Instrument code and -name > select the Instrument provider > Save

Before the instrument will be available on an investment instruction, it will first need to be made available on all the required levels:

Make instrument available on Product:
System > Product > select the relevant product on which the instrument should be made available > Available Instruments > Add Instrument > Link the instrument

Investing into an Insurance Instrument:
An Insurance Instrument can be invested in by the following instructions:
Investment Once Off
Investment Recurring
Switch into (Buy part)

From the instruction view, select the Insurance Instrument the same way as any other instrument would be selected.

Submit and match the instruction.
On authorising the instruction, it will be completed and will be displayed in the Insurance Instrument section of the investor account dashboard.
