Setting up a Policy document on a product

A policy document template can be setup on a Product for the generation of policy documents for the contracts on the product.

The template consists of various elements in the form of logo, signature, watermark, sub-templates and tags which can be combined and added, together with html styling, to create the desired policy document.

On a product, go to:

Select Policy Document Template

Add a logo, signature, watermark as /if required and the prefix before the account number in the pdf file name

The Main Template contains the list of templates that are available and can be added as required to the main template

Go to the different templates that have been added to the main template. On each template substitutes are provided, which can be used together with html to setup the section of the policy document.

Note: If the Bond Maturity template is used in the Policy document, some of the substitutes used in the template will have to be populated on the relevant bond instrument/s into which investors invest. Specifically the sections for Detail, Welcome letter, Coupon Dates and Parties. Indexes can be updated on the Bond under View Details->More Actions->Benchmark Compositions.

The benchmark closest to the start date of the policy will be used if the {Benchmark} substitute is being used. The ‘Initial index level’ of the benchmark will display as nil if no price has been added to the benchmark before or on the start date of the policy.

Using the fee substitute on the Bond maturity template, allow setup on the Bond instrument under ‘Fees’ to indicate if the fees are priced in or priced out.

If Adviser fee = Is priced out, then display is:
ADVICE FEE (CHARGED OUTSIDE)
If Administration fee = Priced in, then all other ongoing fees loaded on the product are displayed as priced in e.g
ADMINISTRATION FEE (BUILD INTO THE PRODUCT)

Each product will contain it’s own policy document template. Templates can be manually copied from one product to another and then adjusted as need be. Also see generate policy documents
