Instruction Purpose Types

An Instruction Purpose can be added as additional information on an instruction, the ability exist to make this a required field on the system configuration.

From the main menu select (1) System -> (2)Configuration

Scroll down and set the field “Is purpose field on instructions required?”

Add or Edit an Instruction Purpose

From the main menu select (1) System -> (2) Instruction Purpose Types.

Select one of the (1) existing or select the (2) Add button to add a new Instruction Purpose

Options available to an Instruction purpose

Name

This is the Name/Description that what will be available in the dropdown list on a instruction, example below:

Available to instructions

An Instruction Purpose can be set for the following instruction type:

• Unit Transfer In Instruction
• Switch Instruction
• Withdrawal
• Investment
• Unit Transfer Out Instruction

Apply to all products

If “Apply to all products” is set the Instruction Purpose will be available to all the products.

Available products

If “Apply to all products” (as above) is not set (1) a list of the products will be listed that the Instruction Purpose will then be available on.

Include in annuity payment report

If “Include in annuity payment report” is set, the instructions with this type will be included in the annuity payment report.
