Requirement Type rules

See setting up requirement types

The rule section at the bottom of a requirement type can be used to apply (add/remove) rules from the selected requirement.

When a user clicks the ‘Add’ icon then a lightbox appears asking the user to select the rule type.

There are currently 3 rule types defined

  • Entity relationship compliancy rule (applicable if a person or company role/type has been selected)
  • Shareholder compliancy rule (applicable if a person or company role/type has been selected)
  • Document expired rule (applicable if the Requirement Type is Document)

Entity relationship compliancy rule

  • Relationship*
    • This is the relationship that the rule will search for
  • Should all match?
    • If this checkbox is selected then all the roles matching the relationship must be compliant.
  • Cardinality
    • This represents the number of roles matching the relationship that must be compliant.
  • Match cardinality
    • Options are or more and exactly
      • If or more is selected then at least the number specified in cardinality of matching roles must be compliant or alternatively if there are fewer than the number then the rule is ignored. i.e. if 2 or more trustees is selected but there is only one trustee linked then the rule will pass and be compliant.
        • If exactly is selected then there must be exactly a certain number of compliant roles of a particular relationship.
  • Applies even when fewer relationships exist
    • If this checkbox is selected, the or more option above is also selected, and if there are fewer than cardinality relationships on the entity, then all the relationships that exist must be compliant.
      • e.g. match cardinality is set to 3 or more but there is only 2 relationships on the entity then these 2 entities must be compliant. If this checkbox, is not selected then this rule is compliant even if there are fewer than 3 matching relationships.
  • Reason*
    • This is the reason to use if the rule is not compliant. The reason options are pulled from the created reasons on the requirement type.

Shareholder entity relationship compliancy rule

Same as Entity relationship compliancy rule but with additional setting

  • Shareholding percentage
    • This is the holding percentage that the shareholder must have to be considered in the rule.
    • For example if set to 20% then only shareholders with 20% or more are considered using the should all match/cardinality/match cardinality settings.

Document expired rule

If the rule is applied to a document requirement type:

If the document expires, Status/Checked will change to false and outstanding to true with the outstanding reason as specified on the document expired rule.

If a new document with an expiry date in the future is uploaded, Status/Checked will change to true and outstanding to false.
