Overriding fees
- Initial – and Ongoing fees are setup on the Product, but can be overridden on the Instrument and the Investor Account, and in the case of Initial Fee also on the Investment Instruction.
- If no override is done on the Investment Instruction, fees will revert to the fees as set on the Contract.
- If no override is done on the Investor Account, fees will revert to the fees as set on the Instrument (except in the case where fees are set to be calculated on ‘total market value’ when it would ignore instrument overrides – see Investor Account Fee Options) .
- If no override is done on the Instrument, fees will revert to the fees as set on the product.
- Fees are divided into two categories Initial fees and Ongoing fees, these are then further divided into two types; advisor fees and other fees and the overrides for these follow different paths for each of them.
- Another override on Initial fees can be set on an Instruction but this is set for the specific instruction and does not form part of the override process.
- Fee types can be managed and new fee types added refer to Fee Types
- These fees types can then be managed and added to a product refer to Add ongoing fee types on a Product
- Further overrides can be done on a Brokerage and Adviser level for more details refer to Overriding Fees on Brokerage and Adviser
