Notification Messages

Notification Messages are used  to define templates for email or SMS communication to investors and/or advisors. If “Type” is Email then the content of the Notification Message will be the body of the email and the same for a SMS.

Notification messages could be sent without any attachments, or they could be used to send documents generated in the system (like for example a Capital Gains Tax Certificate). In this case, a document would be predefined in the back-end to contain specific information, and when sending the document a Notification Message would be used to email this document to the investor as an attachment. In this case, the Notification Message can be edited as explained in this post (Editing Notification messages) and the attachment in the email will be the predefined document. In this case the client has the ability to choose the body of the email and the data that must be used in the body of the email. But the document template itself is not configurable in this scenario.

Note that a Notification message needs to exist on the system before you can edit the content of the message. If you need a new notification message to be added please reach out to the support team.
