11 Aug Release 11 August 2022 – Adviser/brokerage license compliance
Adviser/brokerage license compliance
In this release we have added the concept of license compliance for advisers and brokerages.
Previously available instruments/products on an adviser and brokerage served the purpose of determining if the adviser can sell/buy an instrument or product, in other words the Available instrument list on the adviser translated into ‘Does the adviser have a license to sell the instrument’. Now available instruments/products will only determine which product/instruments are available for an adviser and can be selected on an instruction on an account with the adviser.
With the new license compliance functionality we are removing the license component from available instruments/products and cater for this separately. It is now possible to implement the South African FSCA license categories or another standard of brokerage/adviser licensing. See link for more information.
